Neža Perovšek (b.1996) approaches her work with the mindset of an archivist. Exploring the very human habit of hoarding, she primarily focuses on reinterpreting her own digital archive. It is an intuitive process which aims to reimagine and reconstruct pre-existing photographic material. Shapes crash and merge, they subtract, divide, and multiply. In the final image, these distortions leave only allusions to their tangible roots, opting instead to produce new systems of unidentifiable forms.
She is the co-founder of nomadic exhibition project das Garage, along with Maša Knapič.
